Affiliate Marketing-Are You Desperate To Make Money?

Its difficult I know, you see when you first enter the internet every where you look there seems to be another method of earning money, affiliate marketing, internet marketing, MLM, Adsense etc… and all are plausible and seem easy….but having given them a go and tried the strategies outlined you are left wondering where did I go wrong.

I have news for you, it’s not your fault! That’s right and why? quite simply its because of two things really, the first one and most important of which is that you are not given the total picture. The product draws you in only to find that there are little bits of vital information missing from the puzzle, the information that could make that difference.

Secondly, you are been lied to! not necessarily intentionally, or lets put it this way the sales letters you often read can be a stretch of the reality….and this is not based upon the potential end results, “no” but is more about the way in which business opportunities portray how easy it is to achieve success.
Affiliate marketing is a perfect example of a business that is often portraid has been very easy to commence and succeed in, and although it is true that affiliate marketing may be easier than some opportunities this should not be mistaken for believing that it is easy.    

Outside of a few exceptional circumstances where a small number hit the road running and achieve success rapidly the road can be rocky and requires time and patience, so for the most part I do not believe in the get rich quick schemes and would suggest caution if you see businesses that promise as much. Whether you enter into affiliate marketing, internet marketing or any other opportunity remember that it is a business.

I’m sure out of all opportunities that you will have seen on-line Affiliate Marketing will be one of them and is likely to have been touted as the easiest route into having a successful business on-line, but in reality how many people are actually making money from been an affiliate today?

Statistics would suggest very few, so where are you at present! Have you tried to make money from affiliate marketing and succeeded or have you tried and made small amounts or none at all? Unfortunately, the chances are you may possibly be one of the latter!
Should this lead to you giving up with your affiliate marketing efforts, not for one moment should you give up…you see all the super affiliates that you read about will have had days when they wondered what am I doing, can I carry on etc..

The difference between them and most is that they had tenacity and never gave in and eventually came out the other side, and although they still will have bad days, the good affiliate marketing days now out number the bad ones.

The truth is for all that there is a steep learning curve to any on-line venture, affiliate marketing is no different and although not has easy as some would have you believe still represents a good starting place for your online efforts, and not unlike anything else in life to have a successful affiliate marketing business requires a degree of nurturing before you can reap the successes. 

So to succeed on-line in affiliate marketing or any other business model for that matter what do you need?

1. Focus on the most important aspects of your working day, ensure you prioritise your tasks. This is so important, there are many things that can prove distracting and it is so easy to get to the end of a day and feel exhausted only to find that you have not achieved what you set out to achieve all because of the distractions you encounter. Whether you are trying to succeed with affiliate marketing or other business methods it remains true of all opportunities, information is required to succeed online, but information overload can kill your affiliate marketing business or whatever venture you pursue.

3. Make a plan! I’m sure you heard the term “People don’t plan to fail, they fail to plan” So in other words if you are going to start an affiliate marketing business and promote a click bank product for example, you need to research how popular the product is, how much competition is there out there promoting it, is it still rising or is it in decline? Would you consider buying it yourself?….and this is even before you decide how you want to attack promoting the product! Will you promote your affiliate marketing product through a squeeze page, review page, blog or without a website (Not recommended for affiliate marketing) as far as I am concerned.

4. Tracking and testing is always important, knowing what is and what is not working well in your affiliate marketing business is of vital importance!

5. However hard you try you will make mistakes, that’s just a fact of life. Its how you react to those mistakes that makes a difference, so there is no doubting that you require perseverance to see through your affiliate marketing efforts.

Sounds a lot to take in doesn’t it, and there is much much more to the affiliate marketing game than I have hinted at here, what you need is assistance and an education to make it all fit together.
