Is Information Overload killing your business?
Information overload in my opinion remains the biggest reason for on-line business failure! This may appear quite a sweeping statement, but all other problems associated with success or failure on-line can see their origins from this point.
From my observations this is the normal sequence of events when some one is looking to come on-line and make money:-
1.You search for “How To Make Money On-Line” or some thing similar and see a multitude of options and believe that you need information on all your options before making a decision.
2.You find yourself signing up to one newsletter after another
3.Within a day to days you are receiving information on a number of alternative options, including adsense, affiliate marketing, blogging, resale rights, private label rights, niche sites etc..
4.You find yourself not only trying to eat up the free content coming your way, but also fall into the sales copy web and start buying and buying.
5.Before very long you find yourself with a desk top full of products but you are no longer sure what you have and why.
6.You start with one program and start implementing what you have read, when things don’t happen immediately you think to yourself there must be some other business opportunity that will provide quicker results and so you leave what you have started and start again.
7.By this time you still don’t realise by following this routine time and time again that if you had have just kept with your first project you probably would be making money.
In summary what starts off with information overload leads to:
1.Purchasing of products you don’t need to begin with.
2.You have a mind full of indecision because you don’t know which way to turn.
3.Your bank balance is reduced, and money that could have been used for promoting is lost.
4.You have products that you will never use.
5.You are no closer to making things work
6.You finally give up believing that you gave everything a chance, but in truth you never really got going.
This is not representative of all the business pitfalls that can be faced on-line, but indicates that before you embark on what you believe to be the start of a successful on-line business it is equally important to invest in a guide, resource or book that prevents you from making costly decisions that you may never recover from and kill your on-line business opportunity.
All the “How to make money with…..”might be the buzz words that you seek, but what you should do is learn the pitfalls that exist first and then research the opportunities and decide where your focus will be concentrated.
